Title:Beach Sand Management
Description:Beach profiles are continually monitored along the oceanfront to address sand migration. This project will focus on the preparation of plans and specifications for the proposed transportation of approximately 130,000 cubic yards of sand from just south of the Santa Ana River mouth to the groin fields between 36th and 52nd Streets as recommended in the, "State of the Newport Beach Coast Report," prepared by Moffatt & Nichol in 2006. Construction will be performed by a private contractor under the administration of the Army Corps of Engineers.
